Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all courses and services provided by ProPet® Training.
By booking or attending any course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.

2. Course Bookings

  • A course place is only secured once full payment has been received.

  • Booking confirmation will be sent via email once your place is accepted.

  • Full course details, including location, timings, and any requirements, will be provided prior to the training date.

 

3. Payments

  • All course fees must be paid in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable except as outlined in Section 4 (Cancellations & Refunds).

 

4. Cancellations & Refunds

4.1 Cancellations by the Student

  • More than 14 days before the course start date: You may transfer your booking to an alternative date, subject to availability.

  • Less than 14 days before the course start date: No refunds or transfers are available, as the place cannot be reallocated at short notice.

  • Failure to attend the course on the day will result in forfeiture of the full course fee, with no refund or transfer.

4.2 Cancellations by ProPet® Training

  • In the event that a course must be cancelled due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control, an alternative date will be offered.

  • ProPet® Training accepts no responsibility for travel costs, accommodation expenses, loss of earnings, or any other associated costs.

 

5. Course Requirements & Conduct

All students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Be physically capable of handling animals safely

  • Follow all safety instructions and guidance provided during the course

  • Conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner at all times

Failure to meet these requirements may result in removal from the course without refund.

 

6. Microchipping Course Disclaimer

  • The course provides training in correct microchipping techniques and current legal requirements.

  • It is the student’s responsibility to remain compliant with all applicable UK legislation after completing the course.

  • Students must adhere to all relevant database registration and implantation protocols.

  • Certification is issued only upon successful completion of the course and demonstration of competence.

 

7. Ultrasound Course Disclaimer

  • This course is strictly limited to pregnancy confirmation only.

  • It does not qualify students to diagnose medical conditions, abnormalities, or health issues.

  • Students must not provide medical advice or conduct scans beyond pregnancy confirmation without veterinary involvement.

 

8. Whelping & Neonatal Course Disclaimer

  • All advice provided is based on best practice, training, and professional experience.

  • Students remain responsible for seeking appropriate veterinary advice when required.

  • This course does not replace professional veterinary care or diagnosis.

 

9. Liability

  • Participation in practical training involving live animals is undertaken entirely at the student’s own risk.

  • ProPet® Training accepts no liability for injury, loss, damage, costs, or claims arising from the misuse or misapplication of techniques taught.

  • Students are responsible for arranging their own insurance coverage where required.

 

10. Certification

Certificates are issued only when:

  • The full course has been attended and completed

  • The student has demonstrated safe, competent, and appropriate technique

  • The trainer is satisfied with the student’s understanding and application of the material taught

 

11. Privacy

We collect only the personal information necessary to process bookings and issue certification.
Your information will not be shared with third parties.

 

12. Intellectual Property

All course materials, including presentations, handouts, diagrams, videos, and written content, remain the intellectual property of ProPet® Training.
No materials may be copied, reproduced, shared, or distributed without prior written permission.

 

13. Changes to Courses

ProPet® Training reserves the right to make reasonable changes to course content, schedules, venues, or instructors where necessary.
